Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I lowered my car just an inch with new springs and shocks, but now I can't get enough adjustment for a proper alignment. I bought new toe links and need the adjustable control arms. Seem pretty pricey, so wanted to see if anyone has any source suggestions. Just street, no track.

POST 2Original post

I took the advice of an experienced PCA Driving Instructor and had the Tarett adjustable rear toe links installed when I got lowering springs (about 1 inch lower). The alignments since then have never been a problem. Are these the parts you are referring to? http://www.tarett.com/items/996-997-...lnk-detail.htm

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ratchet, I already added the toe links you have, but can't get enough camber adjustment. I thought the toe links would be sufficient, but in my case I was wrong. Thanks though!

POST 4Original post

My 2000 had adjustable rsr uppers when i bought it and its lowered 1-1.25" when i got the car it was set up for track with about 2.5* of camber and correct caster. Due to a bent factory toe bar i got tarret adjustables and the mechanic said there was enough adjustment for us , eroupean or a track set up. My current set up is a little aggressive but real fun to drive. First pic is the current set up, second was the way i got it.

POST 5Original post

How much rear camber are you trying to get? My car is at Cup car ride height and I can get up to -3 on the rear with the stock eccentrics. I do have the adjustable rear toe link but stock dogbones w/ poly bushings installed in them.

POST 6Original post

Southern Man, these are my alignment numbers with the adjustable toe links. This is a mild track set-up that works for me. Always looking for advice and improvement ideas. Seems like enough rear camber for the street.

POST 7Original post

Sorry for posting the same file 4 times...Doh!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've now had two alignment shops tell me they can't get anymore adjustment out of the eccentric bolts. Thanks for all replies. Think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy these: http://www.redline360.com/megan-raci...91-MRS-PC-0410

POST 9Original post

That is a bummer, but agree with your direction. After almost 20 years, replacing these parts should not only help your alignment issues, but also improve your handling and steering feel. Please report back on the results!
