Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ready to buy a 996 and want to know if a baby seat fits in the back seat? Is their a special seat required? Suggestions appreciated. thanks

POST 2Original post

No special requirements. I have extensively used a rear facing (when baby is < 1 year/ 20lbs) and a front facing seat in the back. Search for more info. There are easily 20+ threads that discuss this. BTW, I have a Coupe

POST 3Original post

Yeah, a coupe gives you more room because of the cab's tighter rear seats. The kids will love the Porsche more than the wife, I guarantee it.

That would be a tough call in my house. I think we all love it equally...

POST 6Original post

There are many threads on this topic, but a few quick hits: - Remove the rear seats altogether (only takes about 10 min), it provides more room, and your passenger will appreciate it. - Not all seats work, I used a Britax Roundabout with the base removed. - The back rest on the cab is more upright than a coupe, so less room. https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...highlight=seat https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...highlight=seat https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/256814-car-seats-in-02-cab.html

POST 7Original post

There are a few other places where you can put your kids, in case you didn't know...

POST 8Original post

^^^ Is she happy to get in? Or happy to get out?

POST 9Original post

You could put them on the hood Or these Eddie Bauer seats fit fine, I removed the bottom cushion.

Cute!, but, I would install one of these... you dont want to dent that hood
