This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just bought used HRE wheels for my just purchased 01 996. Car came with lots of goodies like Cross suspension GT2 body kit, I forged 19 inch wheels, roll bar, gt3 seats, short shifter, headers with aftermarket muffler which appear to be fab speed. The wheels are 18 by 11 with 60 offset and 18 by 8.5 with 40 offset. Will be running camber in the 2 range. I do like to drive in street so camber recommendations appreciated . Tires will be cups and would like to try 235's and 295's instead of 225's and 285's. Would I be okay with that thanks Mike

POST 2Original post

Mike, Congrats on getting the car. It looks sweet.... er, wait a minute...... you didn't post andy pics, so I "guess" it looks sweet! < hint hint > I ran Michelin PS2 235/40/18 on the front (8" wide wheels with 50mm offset) and 295/30/18 on the rear (10" wide wheels with 65mm offset) and had no problems. However, my car had stock suspension. Even lowered, I don't think I would have had any problems. Front - Compared to stock front wheels of 8" wide with 50mm offset, your 8.5" wheels with 40mm offset will extend 16mm further out than stock, which should be OK. Rear - Compared to stock front wheels of 10" wide with 65mm offset, your 11" with 60mm offset will extend 18mm further out than stock, which should also be OK. However, it the car is really low, there could be a slight rubbing issue.

Mike, Tim is being unusually subtle. < hint hint > Car "sounds" nice....

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I will post pics this weekend. Car feels surprisingly quick, but I do miss the second wind at 6500 rpm.
