Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

$199 @ Brandywine but they don't offer it often--check Ebay!
Leading evidence: 'Check ebay' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check ebay' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

i just paid $224, and installed it today, 1hour 15 mins, pretty straightforward install and what a difference, it feels as though i have a different car!!! the best $224 i've spent yet!!!
All this thread can do is create buyers remorse for every post that comes in UNDER what you paid. I would close it (this thread) if I were you. One thing I NEVER do is go back as see what I paid compared to somebody else post hoc. Buyers remorse or gloating is all that I see this doing.
- This is a ridiculous comment.
The whole point of a public forum is to allow people to benefit from the research and opinions of others. For example, I now know that Brandywine offers a better value than what I was originally being proposed. Similarly, when others ask opinions of me, I would be glad to share them where relevant to help people get the best deal possible.
If you didn't want to know how much you overpaid, you shouldn't have clicked on this thread. The title of it was fairly clear.
I have been on many public forums, and it bears repeating that this is one of the most absurd comment I've ever heard.
To all others that have replied, I appreciate it much. Will call Brandywine today to get the shifter.
I always read post about the good prices at Brandywine. I try looking on the the web and only find Brandywine Porsche Dealer. Is it the same and if not then what is a good website for them?
My apologies.....I thought you had ALREADY purchased the SSK. You post was a bit vague and I assumed that you were checking what others had paid to see if you over/under paid.
But in all fairness....you title was NOT clear.
FYI....Brandywine is NOT the cheapest. They quoted $225 and others are getting it at $199.
Again....my apologies.
$235 from b&m store on ebay 2 days ago. Called around to see who can do installation and got 3 quotes ranging from 2 hours to 3 hours of labor !!!!!!!!! Guess, I will try to do it myself but I'm so no good with tools but since everyone says its easy, I'll give it a whirl! Its not the price of the b&m you should be concerned with but rather the installation!
Been considering buying one for a while now. Vividracing, a Rennlist sponsor, is selling at $220. If the best deal on eBay is $199, I rather buy from Vivid. Patronize your own, 'ya know?
C4S Surgeon - you ROCK!! Thanks a lot for alerting us to this product.
Just spoke with the guys at Vortex Auto - who are distributors for the Schnell short shifter.
Almost identical product:
- 30% throw reduction
- Gear shift sits normally, as opposed to the B&M SS, which sits 10 - 14% to the right
- Poly housing instead of aluminum for a few parts
- Unconditional money back g'tee if dissatisfied
- Priced at $159, which is significantly lower than the B&M
Seems very attractive. I'm going to start a new thread to gauge member opinions, but heavily leaning towards this option.
Rasta - Check out the link below. It is from B&M's site and gives step by step DIY info! These may be more "up-to-date" than the printed instructions that come with the shifter. PM me if you have any questions.
