Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

u've got about 15 or so hp more than me on the same dyno (i can't verify conditions of testing but the temp seems about right).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A few weeks ago, some friends tooks our cars to the Charlotte version of Crystal Cove which was a collection of modified VWs, Audis and a couple of Porsches. However, they did have a mobile dyno there and since I have no performance mods of any sort and in spite of a fear of mobile dynos (they remind me of poorly assembled carnival rides .... smell like cabbages), I dyno'd my car. Guess they weren't too carny in that they couldn't reach the spark plugs so I received no torque readings but still had to pay full price. I figure it provides a baseline for when I do get around to mounting my GHLs and anything down the road. ps - is it really that hard to get a torque reading on our cars?

POST 2Original post

That looks judt like my last EKG! Well, I certainly hope it's not my LAST EKG.

POST 3Original post

The spark plug wire is accessible for the right rear section by the wheel if I'm not mistaken. I'll find a thread for you...

POST 4Original post

nice results. i'm assuming u've got a 3.6 liter rite? u've got about 15 or so hp more than me on the same dyno (i can't verify conditions of testing but the temp seems about right).

POST 5Original post

Looks like the only accessible spark-plug wire in a narrow opening of the right spark-plug cover.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Mitty - thanks for the tip. Next time I'll be able to point them in the right direction vs. watching a small group of clowns mutter to themselves :0) Dead-eye - yep to the 3.6L. 15hp sounds like a pretty big difference between the two engines, no? I would have thought maybe 5 to 10 at the outside. Could be the dyno too. and gota911 - not to speak for the group (but I will anyway) - we hope it's not too!
