Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

they worked before: there is no difference in resolution etc.

No unique explicit quoted action; no causal link assigned

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

my daughter took these pic's of the new leather console, aluminium steering wheel and leather airbag unit. All from Gert @ Carnewel. 100% recommendation about going throught Gert. Great service and i even got to chat with him one day as he was screaming around Belgium somewhere! the leather is so much nicer imo and it has that smell which i keep telling the wife to bottle if she really wants more attention than the car.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the usual round of pic's suddenly seem too large for the upload????? not sure what is going wrong.

POST 4Original post

Do you have photoshop to make them smaller? If not e-mail them to me and I'll shrink them for you. [email removed]

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

they worked before: there is no difference in resolution etc. i will probably email the monitors or email them back to myself in a shrunk mode unless, well frankly, if i am going to email i might as well let you do it. Just the before pic's of the stuff on the ground. she got a good pic or two of the centre stitch.

POST 6Original post

Sure, I'll look for the e-mail... EDIT: Got em... please hold...

POST 8Original post

I would have a fear that my wedding ring would scratch up the aluminum steering wheel. I suggest you remove yours when driving your Porsche. That should make your wife real happy.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i wear a signet ring on the left baby finger so i don't have an issue. Before we got married she agreed with my stipulation that i would not wear anything else. My dad, dad's dad etc etc arguement swayed in those days. Periodic jab now and then, but i think i will use your reference as just one more reason not to change! thanks for the posts. regards,

POST 10Original post

I have a wedding ring AND a ring on my right hand as well and have had that same alum wheel for over a year now and not a scratch on it. It is very durable.

POST 11Original post

Very nice. No issues with the air bag during the remove / install? I assume because of the airbag issue, this is a dealer install, rather than going through an independent shop?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

it is a no brainer install. i know because i am doing it tomorrow.

POST 13Original post

I did the install myself. Very simple and straight forward. If you need DIY instructions with pics just PM me and I will get them to you.

POST 14Original post

Willf you get scratches withf a tongue studth too?

POST 15Original post

the only thing to watch out for on the steering wheel, (except for the obvious in the DYI instructions) is that the contact points for the horn, airbag and such can come apart - there it is about 10' of ribbon coiled in there - if the covers comes off - it takes *Forever* to get back together. Pull gently on the wheel (and it helps if it has never been apart before)

POST 16Original post

Nope, but make sure your nipple piercings are taped down to be safe

POST 17Original post

Maybe if you lick your steering wheel... if you have a prince albert you'll be okay too.

POST 18Original post

There's a guy at the gym that has one of those along with several tats that I think depict. Armageddon or maybe the first hours of the Battle of Hastings in 1066...but ya know that Prince Albert is a bit of a strange accessory, but not as starnge as a clear bra which no real man would ever consider anyway. OOUCH!
