Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have been experiencing a low speed clicking noise in my 996 since I got it running. I only hear it at low speed and usually when the clutch is engaged. Until tonight, I thought it was my clutch. It is not. It is coming from the front end of my car. My wheels lugs are tight...it sounded similar to a wheel lug problem I had with my previous 996. I have searched and seen that several PSS9 cars have had similar problems. Mine is most noticable on smooth surfaces, so it is probably not the upper strut bushing. Does anybody have a similar experience or advice on how to diagnose the problem? Thanks for any advice.

POST 2Original post

Mark, see if your drop links are tight... just grab the DL and try to wiggle it to see if it makes any noise.
