I have a Porsche OEM bra too - I got it from the dealership to use for road trips.

I am one of the few people who still use a traditional bra - I'm just old fashioned.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey,
does anyone have any suggestions for a good, relatively inexpensive bra? I just had the front end rockchips resprayed, and the shop says it's 90 days minimum before I can get a ClearBra, so I want too keep it safe in the meantime, but I don't want to drop $500 on a speedlingerie for 3 months of use. Anyone use pelicanparts or JCWhitney's bra before? Anyone have a used bra they'd be willing to sell?
I don't think you have to wait for the regular bra, as long as you never let it sit on the car for extended periods of time - especially if it gets wet.
If the car is exposed to long periods of time in the sun while the paint is curing, I'd expect the bra to create some imbalance in the way the paint is affected by sunlight.
The bra will trap moisture when wet, so it's critical that you remove it to allow it and the paint to dry.
I am one of the few people who still use a traditional bra - I'm just old fashioned. I'd buy the Porsche bra - and you might want to consider the mirror bras as well. The dealer discount for PCA should save you a few dollars.
For comparison, check out the Colgan bras at automotion.com. The front bra for hood and bumper is $139.95 and the mirror bras are $59.95/pair ($39.95 without the crest).
Also, be prepared to catch a little bit of grief for having an old-fashioned bra - I didn't realize how strongly people feel about this topic. With your paint situation, you're making the right move.

Colgan
bra, it fits much better than the factory one does.
I have a Porsche OEM bra too - I got it from the dealership to use for road trips. To some it may look fugly, but it is much better-looking than rock chips (my car is in the bodyshop now having the nose resprayed.)
I have a full culgan bra (like one in photo minus mirror covers) used one time before the clear bra was installed. I'll sell for $65.00 - PM me if you want it.
