Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok so I have an 99 996 Carrera. My horns haven't been working correctly. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. Here is what I have done so far. I replaced the relay and the two horns under the bumper. The only thing I can think of is wiring problems or something not making connections at the steering wheel. How do I safely remove the steering wheel and what do I need to check? Any write ups or any input would be great.

POST 3Original post

maybe the bad connection us under the airbag.... edit: duh.... you need removal steering info, my bad

POST 4Original post

Here is a link to getting the air bag cover off. You can probably trouble shoot the problem one the air bag is removed. Please note that you need to disconnect the battery first, so make sure you have your stereo code. https://rennlist.com/forums/showpost...41&postcount=2

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok I know how to take the steering wheel off. Now I need to know what to look for inside for why the horn isn't working. Any help there?
