Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Now I am not in the market for a new car but doesn't 25K seem really low for a 2002 cab? 2002 Porsche 911 CABRIOLET - $25000 http://stlouis.craigslist.org/car/506135555.html

POST 2Original post

Seems very low. Get some pics, talk to the owner, run a carfax (for what that's worth), and if you're really interested, see the car and have a PPI done! Sounds like there's got to be a catch.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just came across that posting and it caught my eye. There is a URL on that page that leads to more pictures and they all look very good but there must be a catch in there somewhere. Here is that link http://www.auction.com/items/lot.aspx?lotID=42945013

POST 5Original post

If it's a motivated seller, that doesn't sound too low. I paid less than that for my '99 C4 (higher mileage, but with a new engine).

huge diff between an mk1 and mk2

POST 7Original post

Sounds very low... but isn't that an auction start price?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4880184

Yeah I see that now. so maybe they have a reserve that is more inline with the real value of the car.

POST 9Original post

The craigslist price is $25k too and craigslist isn't an auction site. Interesting.

POST 10Original post

Two things that threw red flags right away. Warranty "AS-IS" in all caps. When someone types in all caps it means they are shouting it, even sub-consciously. And they say excellent on everything, but under Transmission, it says "Used". Huhhhh? Obviously, I'd sort that out. 25,000 - something is up...way up.

Thanks man. I'm gradually creating more as I go - for fun! I like switching them up. Stay tuned.

POST 13Original post

Be careful on Craigslist! Since it doesn't cost anything to post, you'll get anything posted. When I looked for a car for my son, I found: A 2004 BMW mini for $4000. E-mailed the guy, but never heard anything. -A Camry for $3500 listed as body "good", interior "fair". The passenger side door had no mirror and was spray painted black. The interior was ripped to shreds. -Another Camry listed as emaculate and the driver's side front quarter panel was wrecked - Looked at a 626 that the owner said he almost sold the week before, but the interested party "required a title" WTF!! However, did end up buying the 626 as we helped the guy find his title (don't ask...) All I'm saying is be very careful.

POST 14Original post

In Long Island they have had an issue of some dirtbag posting a Porsche at a low price than you show up to look at it and get rolled... nice.

POST 15Original post

Yeah, there is no way to contact them from the Craigslist Ad. That is usually a bad sign. I'm in STL also...i'd be up for checking it out.

POST 16Original post

I agree on Craigslist. I inquired about a seemingly cheap 996TT ($20k to be exact). The guy sends me an email telling me he's out of the country and would like to use some sort of escrow service. He did say that the car is in LA but won't let me see the car. Buyer beware!

POST 17Original post

It has to be a scam! check out his other listings. Looks like he has another 25 or so listings, all w/ very low starting prices. An 01 TT for 25k? And no history or feedback.
