Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sharing my frustration. I was driving down the 680 freeway in Fremont, CA on Saturday, going with the flow of traffic at around 70MPH, when out from under the car in front of me comes a huge retread from a truck tire. With cars on both sides and behind, I had no choice but to hit it and hope for the best. The result? My 2 month old aerokit front bumper is destroyed, along with one inner fender and some misc other parts. I didn't attempt driving the car with various parts dragging on the ground, and it took the majority of my afternoon to get a friend to bring some tools so I could get it rigged up enough to drive home. Should I be glad it wasn't worse? Thanks for listening.

POST 2Original post

I hate that when freakin trucks lose their crappy retreads all over the highway. Sorry to hear about your car, sounds like it took a pretty bad hit, at least you're ok.

POST 5Original post

That sucks. Just this morning in San Jose I saw what I thought was a retread on surface streets. It turned out to be a dead raccoon. Don't know if that's better or worse, but made sure we didn't hit it.
