The problem: i never really stuck 2 the manufacturer maintenance schedual like glue, but rather did stuff as needed (brake fluid a season or so ago, oil change every season or 5000kms, whichever comes first, replaced anything that looks worn, and a BMC air filter about 3 seasons ago) and b4 taking her out next year i just want to make sure i have a decent idea of what to do to keep the silver bullet running in mint shape.

also..i knw the topic has been beaten 2 death..but just because i forgot: is it ok to just overinflate the tires (50psi) and leave the car sitting (rolling her forwards to change the tire position once every week or so).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

The Car: 3.4L 996 C2 Kilometers: 40,000kms The problem: i never really stuck 2 the manufacturer maintenance schedual like glue, but rather did stuff as needed (brake fluid a season or so ago, oil change every season or 5000kms, whichever comes first, replaced anything that looks worn, and a BMC air filter about 3 seasons ago) and b4 taking her out next year i just want to make sure i have a decent idea of what to do to keep the silver bullet running in mint shape. The List: *Oil Change (still using the 0W-40, i havn't had any problems so no need 2 up to 5 or 10W-40). *Tranny Fluid (this is probably long overdue and i am ashamed 2 say it. Is Castrol Syntec Gear oil safe 2 use in our tranny's/diffs?) *recharge/replace air filter *retorq various things *spark plugs (i've noticed a very small fluctuation in my rev guage, and sometimes the needle on the oil presure guage fluctuates up and down at idle..i'm not sure if it is a defective guage or some other problem like a misfire. the car hasn't thrown any codes yet tho) is there a specific brand you guys can recommend? anything else i'm missin? also..i knw the topic has been beaten 2 death..but just because i forgot: is it ok to just overinflate the tires (50psi) and leave the car sitting (rolling her forwards to change the tire position once every week or so). this won't negativly impact the suspension will it?
