how common is this....I watched the pressure guage go from 6 to 0 several times, along with the ding and the oil sign on the dash. Each time I tried to pull over it would go back to full pressure again....scary....shop says it's the sensor.......thx for the help...... New owner...for 3 days, Brad B

common issue. do a search, i had mine replaced under warranty. Had the Pressure Warning come on a few times. Apprently its a easy DIY.

Its pretty common. I replace mine during my rebuild as I was having sporatic warning lights. Do a search, there have been a few posts this year documenting DIY for this sensor. Using the right tool is the key.

Excellent timing! I started having the same issue this past weekend. My oil pressure gauge always reads at the top no matter what, and if the car isn't running it reads 2-3.

My indie just did mine when I had the plugs done. Since he was in there anyway.. Part was 75 and labor 25 .. Not worth scrapping my knuckles to try. Access is much easier on lift and with heatshield out
