Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
For indoor use, I would recommend the European Porsche Tequipment car cover.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

With a new puppy and a small garage, its time for me to start using a cover.
So my questions are, 1. What's the best cover?, and 2. Where's the best place to get one, cheap?
Thanks.
For indoor use, I would recommend the European Porsche Tequipment car cover.
Note that the Euro covers are VERY different from the US covers (softer inside lining, colored Porsche crest, totally different materials).
I've had one for 2 years on my 996TT and another member on the 996TT forum (KPV, picture is cover on his car) bought one as well. Your local Porsche dealer can order it for you, no problem. I bought mine with my $100 PCA coupon.
One more question; does Porsche make a different cover for cars with the aerokit? And if so, would this cover fit a car without it?
My car doesn't have the aerokit now, but I'd like to put the aero front and sides on it, but not the rear spoiler. My guess is that the rear spoiler is the biggest difference as far as covers are concerned.
dp35,
Yes, they do make various ones depending on installed bodywork options.
The Euro covers are very different from the US spec covers; I have a US Silvergard cover on my RSA; it's a track rat so I don't mind using it.
You can go to the Porsche website, select Great Britain (or a Euro country if you speak a foreign language) and see the different cover options.
There are other lined (indoor and outdoor) covers available as well (Gert at Carnewal.com offers a VERY nice cover for Porsches, Ferrari OEM I believe); I just ended up going with the Porsche Euro cover.
I would also suggest washing the car before putting any cover on, or at least using the wood handled (not the black plastic one) California Car Duster, before applying the cover to prevent scratches from dirt embedded on the inside of the cover.
For indoor use, I use two flannel sheets. To me it is easier to put and and remove, and if car is a little dirty it causes less rubbing than a fitted cover.
