This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

for example, using 17'' wheels with snow tires in my c4s would save a lot of money and probably make for a more effective snow tire. i've never used offsets before. the rears require 25mm: the fronts require 6mm. are they ok?

POST 2Original post

You must mean spacers. Yes, they are OK as long as they are quality made and hubcentric. Porsche sells the right spacers.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks viken-- yes i did mean spacers.

POST 4Original post

the only thing to worry about is if you go to dramitically out you hurt the kingpin angle for the suspension and it wears the ball joints quicker, but with 5-10mm spacers I think it's not that big of a deal.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

how about 25 mm needed for the rear wheels on a c4s or turbo to fit 17'' wheels?
