Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

when you buy a coil pack from the dealer does it come with everything? I was quoted 80 bucks a piece for the coil packs? and 800.00 for the MAF does this sound right?

POST 2Original post

Yeah, sounds right if you are the dealer!! Pelican has the coil packs for half of that. And $236 for the MAF sensor.

POST 3Original post

The MAF was $148.02 from Amazon when I purchased mine earlier this year. To to the Bosch web site, use their vehicle finder to figure out what part you need, and buy it from Amazon, Pelican, etc.

POST 4Original post

$800 only sounds right if it includes dinner and lube.

You're gonna wanna do all 6 as others will fail soon after. $80x6 = $480, still a bit steep...

well seeing how I couldnt get anything else done today..... got the maf on its way home now 270 never knew of autoatlanta.com before, but they had it new coils were 40ish bucks each there as well ,had wife pick em up thing is, pulling this apart now, i see it has beru coils on it already...wern't they bosch from factory? I was told that once already?.. shoot......... didnt want to waste about four hours RT (or waiting till tomorrow to find I couldn't work on it anyhow) so I jumped the gun and had her bring them before I started on it............

POST 10Original post

What's funny is that the coil packs for my honda are much more expensive.

POST 11Original post

You got a decent deal. Beru = Stock Coils AutoAtlanta is a decent shop and a good source for parts either in person or online.

good folks on the phone too have two passenger side off now, neither are cracked at all have that "special" tool coming to remove the oil tubes as well, they are so expensive I bought two (2.95) <grin> at least my son has a boat that might need that "special" tool too HAHA phone will stop soon and I will be able to stay on car , looks like im going to have to pull the passenger muffler off, whoever put these in last night (oops last time not night) really got them tight (if they were ever removed) a 60k was done at a dealership though previous to my purchase), I'm worried the allenhead is going to strip so need to get a better straight shot on it

POST 13Original post

Sounds like you are well-into the project! Great info here on the list and additional notes on the coil/plug project may be found here as well. Keep us updated, especially when you finally fire her back up! Mark/Pelican Parts

I will, now watch, I wont be able to touch it tomorrow now that I took it half apart, if it were on a lift I bet this job could be done in well under two hours under a hour if you don't have to pull a muffler or two, hopefully that bolt it not stripped, had I realized how easy this was to do, I would have ordered all the parts weeks ago and done it as soon as I had time.... Time......... HAHAHAHA I need a job I go to work everyday so I have some time!
