Did the cruise control retrofit yesterday (just need to get the DME programmed) but I now have 2 problems, 1 is that the reverse parking sensors do not now work (no beep when selecting reverse) and my OBC will not work (both worked just fine before.) I have checked the connectors on the OBC stalk and they are fine, I have grounded the OBC switch terminals to bypass the switch but nothing happens at all.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

2 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

996 C4 2002 Did the cruise control retrofit yesterday (just need to get the DME programmed) but I now have 2 problems, 1 is that the reverse parking sensors do not now work (no beep when selecting reverse) and my OBC will not work (both worked just fine before.) I have checked the connectors on the OBC stalk and they are fine, I have grounded the OBC switch terminals to bypass the switch but nothing happens at all. The OBC display is on I just can't select anything. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

Cruise control retro fit???? Go back to normal again and see does things work as before. Then start again. If it goes faulty again then sling the retro fit cruise control. Or check this first. http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...se_Control.htm

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No worries, fixed it, it was the grey clock connector wasn't all the way in even though the black latch was down.

POST 4Original post

You installed CC into a 996 that didn't have one?

POST 5Original post

Yup, this is an add-on for e-gas 996's. http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...se_Control.htm

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, easy enough to do, I can send you a link if you want.

POST 7Original post

Cool. For whatever reason I thought it was for a cable throttle engine.
