Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

But again, the 996 is just for occasional track use (like when the 944 is broken), so it's not worth the effort to me.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Saturday was my last track day for the season. Connecticut Valley Region had a DE at Lime Rock.
It was pretty wet - one dry-ish session - the rest damp to full rain.
I brought the '99 C4 with street tires (PS2s) and had an absolute blast! I couldn't have had a more fun day or a better "end" to the season.
Here's a little video for you:

I plan on doing my first Lime Rock DE next year and liked your line. What is the title of this youtube vid so I can note and review in the future?

Bill, here's another video of mine (from this spring - the only other time I took the 996 to the track - I usually take my 944).
You'll notice the track was MUCH bumpier. (And I used a crappier camera.)
I'll look for you in the spring!
p.s. the title of the first video is "Lime Rock Park - PCA Driver's Ed"
Shhhh.... don't tell the 944 guys - they'll think I've lost my mind.
Traqmate makes a nice product - I've been very happy with it. For the tach, you have to tap into the ignition output of the DME and connect it to a little control module - I have it hard wired into the 944, and didn't think it was worth trying to relocate for a single use. But the traqmate control unit and GPS sensor are a piece of cake to transfer from car to car.
If one was willing to dive into the wiring harness on a C4, I think you could get the thing to calculate and log slip angles by comparing the yaw and steering angle (this is what the PSM does). But again, the 996 is just for occasional track use (like when the 944 is broken), so it's not worth the effort to me.
