Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I took it to the P-dealer, who told after an inspection ($150) that the clutch was fine, but that I had to replace the spring, the sleeve and the bowl (?).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I visited a friend in Greenwich, CT this week end from Boston when I noticed that my clutch pedal was acting funny when I was releasing it - there was some type of zone where it was getting "stuck" and boucing back. It also made a little sound when I was depressing completely. I took it to the P-dealer, who told after an inspection ($150) that the clutch was fine, but that I had to replace the spring, the sleeve and the bowl (?). He also recommended I change the RMS at the same time... $300 for all the parts, but $1600 for labor. They openly told me that their labor rate was clearly not competitive compare to Boston (who cares when you leave in Greenwich CT right?) So my question is what's a resonable price for labor, as I was expecting nothing more than 5/6h of labor... $500/$700 Additionally they recommended I change the clutch as it would cost no additional labor, but the clutch did not need to be replaced at this point. Would you do it? Thanks for your answers,
