Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Incidentally, when I asked a local indy specialist to diagnose it, the ECU actually logs a Lamda fault code, apparently as a result of it going end-to-end of its adjustment range, trying to adjust mixture for a misread airflow mass....however, Lamda's not necessarily at fault.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where should the RPMs be at idle? My car has stalled a few times. Initially I thought it was due to my not driving a standard shift in about 15 years! Now that I am no longer rusty, I think she seems to be idling low. Any advice out there?

POST 3Original post

mine stay around 800 with A/C on. 650 without it. either way will not stall. bring her in check it out what went wrong. ICV (Idle Control Valve-if there's one) maybe?

POST 4Original post

I'll lay money on it being the Mass AirFlow (MAF) sensor....just replaced mine, the revs "hunted" for about 6-7secs when stopping at junctions, etc. Had the same symptoms on my Impreza TypeR last year, both cases the MAF sorted it. Incidentally, when I asked a local indy specialist to diagnose it, the ECU actually logs a Lamda fault code, apparently as a result of it going end-to-end of its adjustment range, trying to adjust mixture for a misread airflow mass....however, Lamda's not necessarily at fault. Similar cost for each (Lamda's approx 100 each in the UK, plus fitting...mine took hours, seized in sensor)...the MAF, from Porsche is 395 plus tax plus fitting...however, can be sourced a LOT cheaper than that, about 150, and can be replaced in about 15secs flat yourself....) Hope this helps... Spen
