I recommend applying blue loctite to the torx screws that hold them in.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Recently the cab has started to make noises when going over bumps. It's due to some gap in the front locking mechanism on both sides. Is there a way to tighten that up? Magnus

POST 2Original post

I don"t know about tightening, but the front, top seal on mine will make noises if I don't periodically treat the rubber seal with a Wurth, dry, PTFE lubricant. I put this as a second layer above a Wurth rubber treatment. Noise from the rubber seals is fairly common.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This is not rubber noise but metallic noises from the locking mechanism.

POST 4Original post

You should have a alan wrench looking key that inserts on the right and left side of the locking mechanism to tighten. Mine was making the same noise and then I had a problem with my power to my roof and the shop tightened it up. I am not sure exactly how to do it b/c I have not done it yet, but check your owners manual. It is very detailed on this. Mike

POST 5Original post

The top receiver mounts on each side of the windshield header can come loose over time. I recommend applying blue loctite to the torx screws that hold them in.
