Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used my ashtray for change but It was never that full.

I like it because it holds my cell phone nicely and has a nice clean look.

The ashtray was good for change because it was hidden.

When I installed my non-smokers kit I extracted about $3 worth of loose change from the console.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

No big deal I know but that's what we do here, right? Share photos and stuff

JHIII- Isn't that one of the better improvements on our 996s? I did that about a year ago and found all I needed to know on this forum. Spare change and my cell phone fit perfectly.(although I never submitted my pic). The color did not match perfectlyon mine, but still a nice upgrade.
Be careful putting coins in the ashtray, as they will find a way into the center console and could hang up the shift linkages.
The non-smokers kit solves this.
When I installed my non-smokers kit I extracted about $3 worth of loose change from the console. Both me and the prior owner were using the ash tray as a change purse. A lot of it fell into the console. Some of it was a p.i.a. to remove ie: put a peice of bubble gum on the end of pencil and go fishing. The $3 income didn't make up for the the missing tool kit they shorted me when I bought the car.
Gary, I think because of your post Suncoast is going to sell alot of those trays
I used my ashtray for change but It was never that full. I could see how a full ashtray of change could spill over and it would go into the center console. As long as you keep it on all fours
a few coins most likely won't make their way into the console. The ashtray was good for change because it was hidden. Change in this non-smokers tray would be a bit of an eyesore IMO. I will just use it for my cell phone.
