Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've had it almost 7 months, I use the car every day, no complaints except from my wife who now refuses to ride in car ;-)

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Figured I'd think of something for my 2900 post
1. Installed 6mm spacers all around
2. Installed 38mm chrome bolts from Ralph Boothe
3. Finally put my silver horizontal pieces in the dash.
Now, everything is done
EXCEPT...
yes I will lower the car when I finally decide what system is best. Just want a better cosmetic look. Any suggestions?

Not to speek for Don, but I believe this is what he is talking about

Don, I think you are running out of mods to do
How about a SC and suspension to wrap it up??? I mean what's another $15K right?
Or.....time to start on the wifeys car (if she let's you
)
The silver pieces came from a variety of places..some on ebay; some from Eric the plug guy
www.bumperplugs.com;
some from Imagine Auto
www.imagineauto.com
There is a DIY yourself link for installing the strips. I'll look it up for you, but basically you pull out the left and right vents as well is the dash switch surround. They you can pry out the strips. They are mounted from the rear of the dash, but they will pull out. It sort of ruins the strips you remove. Then insert the silver strips. No screws, but you can use some clear silicone to hold in place.
Jon, a few more shots of the interior. The other pics do not show the AS strips. Pics are sort of a work in progress.
Don I notice that your V1 remote is sitting on top of your steering wheel column.....where is your main unit? Also where did you get your shifter..I have a tip also and have been searching for a new shifter? Great looking car...
I also noticed that - how is the main unit mounted? ( i saw it up by the rear view mirrors). I am looking for a good semi-permeniant mounting method i.e. not using the clip or the suction cups
The main V1 is next to the RV mirror on the left side, mounted just with the suction cups. The CF Shifter **** was on the options list for 2002. I couldn't find a part No. for CF **** on PET or Tequipment. Maybe the dealer can help you.
...re: lowering, I'm partial to the X74 package. All Porsche parts, a complte package (shocks, springs, bars) It drops the car about an inch, the wheels will nicely fill in the wells (sorry no pictures) Handling is greatly improved, no more wallowing; Ride a tad stiffer, not unpleasant, but not reccoemended if you have bad roads...Available from Carnewal or Schatz Motorsports. Not expensive.

Don - looking good! For suspension, I spent too many hours some months ago researching this. I decided on X74 (but sold the car for my 997S before Gert got stock). But for lowering (looks) only, and low cost, which is what you seem to want, I think you could get away with ROW 030 springs only (cheapest) (talk to Gert or someone and make sure you can do this), next step up get the ROW 030 complete setup. I think either drops you 20mm, more or less. The X74 (which seemed great for my tastes) drops you 40mm, which may be too much for you with street hazards, but if you want a suspension upgrade too, take a close look at it (lots of user comments on carnewal.com).
