Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've used Horseless Carriage a few times with great results:
Leading evidence: 'Use horseless carriage a few times' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check forcast' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

The times I used Horseless Carriage, my car was the least expensive one on the truck by a long shot!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
I believe I have a buyer for the car. The potential buyer is from D.C and the car is in Denver. Anyone have any suggestions for shipping the car there? Any companies that do it at a good price? If push comes to shove I will drive the car to Chicago and he can pick it up from me there, however, I am nervous about something happening on the way or a big snow storm rolling in while Im driving on P-Zeros....
Suggestions??
Thanks
Jeff
try their website
by the way they are a rennlist sponsor so they might give you a discount, mabye i'm not sure
http://www.intercitylines.com/
they have a free quote service
i believe i was quoted $1200 last year to transport my boxster from CT to CA
I agree with Moogle. Intercity lines. They shipped my Cup car from FL to MA in 36 hours door to door. Roll on, roll off..never even started the motor. $900 IIRC.
I've used Intercity twice to transport a 356 from Atlanta and a Ferrari Dino from Ft. Lauderdale, both to Long Island. Both times the service was great, they had the best price and nary a scratch on the car. In both instances they also handled the transfer of the final payment for the title documents.
And make sure your car is covered during transport. I've heard many horror stories of cars getting all sorts of debris and fluids from cars above them that have left permanent damage to the paint surface.
Inercity or Horseless Carriage are the way to go. And don't be cheap... it can get very expensive otherwise.
Cheers.
Use Intercity. Besides being a great transport company they are also a Rennlist Sponsor. It will probably run around $1200.00. They did a super job bringing my 993 from AZ to Atl. You won't be disappointed.
Horseless Carriage also has a very good rep. About the same pricing.
Good luck and my condolences on your loss.
My vote goes to Intercity as well. They brought my race car from Miami to TX and did a super job. My mechanic who was there on the delivery he commented how organized and carefull the driver was. He was duly impressed and so was I.
I have used both Horseless Carriage and InterCity many times.....PCNA put me in touch with both years ago.....not cheap but superior service from either
Dilema...
I have an offer to get my car on the track prior to the 24 hour race this coming Feb. Consign my "baby" to a car mover, EXTREME reluctance. Drive it, in January, from Seattle to Daytona...EXTREME reluctance!
Thinking about trailering it behind a MH, heading south first, and then I10 east.
But then yaw'l come along and tell me that some of the car movers are very good.
Maybe.
Of your 3 options above, I would definitely have it transported, but only with a top tier company in an enclosed trailer. Either Horseless Carriage or InterCity are great. The times I used Horseless Carriage, my car was the least expensive one on the truck by a long shot! I always ask for a top load to play it safe.
I actually think you would risk more damage to your car with your other 2 options.
