Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

However, I suspect most of these vehicles will not be used on "the ring" or the Paris/Dakar.
Leading evidence: 'Use on "the ring" or the paris/dakar' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'most of these vehicles will not be used' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Use on "the ring" or the paris/dakar' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

..being a new benz owner i've been at the sl forums and saw a post for the new ml amg.. it looks pretty damn impressive.. IMHO i'd take this over a cayenne twin turbo, or any other SUV out there currently.. (if i were to get an suv.. but i prolly won't.. not a huge suv fan.) and i'm sure the price will be much more reasonable than the cayenne tt..
what do you guys think? how much hp and torque does the cayenne tt have? I know the curb weight is more than the ml as well.. wonder what the times on this guy will be.. 510hp and 630torque with a V8 NA engine is nice.. i wonder if they'll release a supercharged version of that engine..
"The powerful heart of a high-performance athlete beats beneath the bonnet of the ML 63 AMG: as a completely new and autonomous development by Mercedes-AMG, the AMG 6.3-litre V8-engine generates an output of 375 kW/510 hp at 6800 rpm and a maximum torque of 630 Newton metres at 5200 rpm; this makes the new AMG powerpack the worlds most powerful naturally aspirated eight-cylinder engine in regular production. Pretty hung up on these Benz comparisons. It looks like and econo hatchback, like an A3 or something. The only Benz I would drive would be a G Wagon or maybe, if forced to drive a four door, a CLS.
On the street it looks like the new Benz will be more than a match for the Cayenne Turbo. However, offroad the Porsche seems to be considerably more capable.
However, I suspect most of these vehicles will not be used on "the ring" or the Paris/Dakar.
I am sure it is. I am just basing what I said in the photoghraph. On the street and in person, I guess it will look like an oversized econo hatchback to me. The M series has always been my least favorite of the higher end SUV line.
Well 630 NM of torque converts to 464.60 lb ft,so its pretty even with a Cayenne Turbo, but an E81 Cayenne Turbo would have 50 more lb ft of torque. If you look at the numbers for this Mercedes too, look where the engine makes it power. Peak torque at 5200 rpms? It sounds as though the Cayenne will have much better area under the curve. How many people driving an SUV cruise at over 5200 rpm. I wonder what the rev limit is. According to the Porsche website the Cayenne Turbo has 460 lb ft of torque available from 2250 - 4750 rpm..... which is the advantage of the twin turbos... and makes for a much more drivable car.
Its interesting that they developed a whole new motor for this thing. I wonder why they didnt go with the supercharged 5.5.
Once Brabus or another Mercedes Tuner gets ahold of this engine, one can only imagine what kind of HP upgrade will be available.. i'd think with a V8 NA, 700hp+, 800lb+ of torque with a supercharger or twin turbo system and a few mods would definately be possible... although i'm not quite sure what the purpose of having such speed in an suv would be.. would make an intersting sight at the track, that's for sure <g>
