Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When I installed the dampers, I was able to apply finger pressure to compress each piston enough to get the new pads in.
Leading evidence: 'Install dampers, i was able' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install dampers, i was able' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I even re-used the dampers because the brakes only had 10K miles on them (I was changing pads to Mintex just to have something with less dust).

I read quite a bit of the past posts and primarily used the DIY at Renntech.

In replacing the bracket, I found it necessary to feed the sensor wire before the Pin was seated.

Suggestion
It is so easy to change pads and to inspect them that you'll save tons of time not trying to reinsert the sensor.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I did my rear brakes today. Thanks to all that provided insight. I read quite a bit of the past posts and primarily used the DIY at Renntech. The parts came from Paragon (pads, sensors, dampners).
As most have indicated this was easy and straightforward. A few comments for those attempting this for the first time (as I did). Note: this is not a full description of the process just some random notes that may help the next first timer.
1) The first one took about 30 minutes (primarily due to not have the right tools close by etc) and the second one was about 15 minutes including wheel removal / replacement.
2) I bought the new sensor wires but for experience, I tried to remove the old ones like I was planning to reuse them. They were not difficult to remove but I was unable to remove them in a manner that they could be reused. Good thing I bought the new ones.
3) There is a bracket fits under the pin that holds the pads in place. This was unexpected but no problem. In replacing the bracket, I found it necessary to feed the sensor wire before the Pin was seated.
4) I was able to free the pads by spreading the pliers. By using this method, I found that the rear pistons compressed more than the front. When I installed the dampers, I was able to apply finger pressure to compress each piston enough to get the new pads in.
5) Not that she was supportive but my wife wanted me to do the test drive!
Try just tie wrapping the wear sensor to the non moving caliper parts. It is so easy to change pads and to inspect them that you'll save tons of time not trying to reinsert the sensor.
You'll probably find that trying to route and insert the sensor takes more time then removing the wheels, and that takes more time then changing the pads!!
I had no problem re-using the sensors (if you want to call them that, since they are just a loop of wire around a plastic pin/clip)... I even re-used the dampers because the brakes only had 10K miles on them (I was changing pads to Mintex just to have something with less dust).
No squeal, rattles, or any brake "sensor" issues...
