Most are obvious - other options are more subtle. I'm too far away from the car to go check under the hood. Does Porsche have a way people can check using the VIN?

Yes...you can call Porsche with the VIN and they can tell you the options.

Cool. Where on the site is that? I found a VIN decoder, but it only gives a breakdown of what the VIN itself means.

The only way to find out what options are associated with a partivular VIN is to call Porsche or get a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. The option codes are not imbedded in the VIN !

Yes - and sadly they won't release the details without a proof of ownership. I managed to sweet talk the lady who answered my call (she was very nice) into looking up the option I was most interested in (PSM) .
