Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi all, yesterday i took my car from the OPC on which a lot of work has been undertaken, some of it under warranty and some under my cost. under my cost: 3rd key-buy programming cutting oil change some other minor things cost of clutch kit, since the gearbox was out due to RMS under warranty: RMS-seals etc but listen now.when they tested the car with the new clutch kit on and the treated RMS prob, the rev limiter dropped to 6200 rpms they changed the whole ECU unit with a brand new one, at their cost-warranty, as a faulty item and the rev limiter was still @ 6200 rpms then they did repleced the Flywheel sensor, still the rev limiter was still @ 6200 rpms finally they did replace the flywheel.problem was not there any more, but rev limiter did go up to 7400 rpms!!!!!! how come? must say that rev limiter before the car was taken to the OPC was at around 7000 rpm for sure. no way it was at 6200 nor at 7400 any thoughts? i have also in my mind that the car shouldn't rev at that high revs for any reason....

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i have a feeling that the rev limiter works @ 7100 not @7300 as you say, and def. not @ 7400 where my car has it now.

POST 4Original post

Harris I just checked the owners manual on page 192 in the specs it says rev limit 7300rpm. So you should be fine, cause it probably is 7300rpm, it is too close to tell the difference between 7300 and 7400rpm as the rpm increments are in units of 200rpm.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for the info. i am happy now
