Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

$1000 for sports seats??? LOL... If you guys sell them to me for a thousand bucks you have a deal!
Why dont you try 3K for mint sports seats minimum....
I finally just purchased and "converted" a pair of sport seats after a long search. I found several of them for sale around $2000 and once in awhile found someone that is trying to dump them for $15-1700. I won't tell you the deal I stumbled upon
Needless to say, I now have the only 2003 with full power/memory sport seats
by the way, i meant for EACH seat.
in that case, refer to this thread at the GT3 forum.

I picked up a pair on eBay for a low, low price. It was the only pair that I've seen in months.
I'm getting ready to sell my standard Boxster Red seats soon.
My sport seats have electric backs and manual to move the seat for and aft....Are these seat lighter than the stock full electric seats with memory? I would assume so.
Thanks Kirby! I found a pair locally so shipping didn't enter into the equation. Now that I've had them in the car for a day, the car feels completely different - I don't know how I went so long without them! A must have
Now the "conversion" to full power was a different story. The passenger side wasn't that bad but the driver's side took alot of time because of the control module with all the extra wiring.
Nevertheless, I love them but would probably not go through that "conversion" again. In mid '04 they started making full power/memory sport seats for those wanting the best of both worlds
Can you provide some details on the conversion? I have supple leather, heated, power seats in my 996. I am thinking of trying to find sport seats in the same color (savanna beige), and then put the sport seat backs on, and then put the supple leather middle in to keep everything consistent (front and rear). The issue would be how to make those seats heated. Would love some help on this one (as well as anyone with beige sport seats!)
it is very possible, i believe the wiring harness is already there, it may or may not be cheaper to buy seats with the heating elements already integrated... after that , all you need is the switch.
there are some FAQS and guides about this very procedure on the web, do a search, try the archives at PPBB.com
