Dealer said $65,000, I checked Galves.com but they don't have it listed, they currently have the standard 996 quoted as $61,000.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know what the trade-in value of a 2004 40th Anniversary edition with 5,000 miles might be, I'm playing with the idea of trading it in for a 997s. Dealer said $65,000, I checked Galves.com but they don't have it listed, they currently have the standard 996 quoted as $61,000. I'm also trading in a touareg v8 with 4200 miles and have no clue to that value as well, dealer said $32,000 and $3,000 off sticker. The 997s is such an awesome car to drive, but so is the 40th. Thanks in advance for any help.

POST 2Original post

the 40ths have terrible depreciation due to the initial wave of discounts and incentives given by porsche to move them. you would be lucky to get the standard carrera c2 price, + a few grand. try kbb.com for the toureg.

POST 3Original post

I'd keep your 40th. Why suffer through two depreciation cycles in a year? If you want to spend some money, I'd recommend X74 and PSE. Two options which should have been standard in my opinion, in lieu of the luggage. Together, those two mods have made a dramatic difference in my 40th...

POST 5Original post

Just curious, what options do you have on the 40th and did they make any difference to the dealer?

POST 6Original post

I think 65K is decent, given that dealers are still rtying to move some left overs. As long as you don't pay sticker on 997...

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm getting 3k off the car it's 92k 997S.... has everything in it except ceramic brakes.

POST 8Original post

jersey, message me, i can get you much better than that.
