A great place to window shop is Wheel Enhancement's website, where they have installed pictures for most of their wide selection of wheels (my former Targa is in there as is my 997S).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys........looking to pick up a new set of wheels.......I need to stick with 18's cause of the roads here in Montreal..... Car is seal grey cab 996 02, porsche side rockers, all kind of stock....looking to dress it up a bit...nothing to wild.....hot and classy......any ideas or recommendations.....pics of what you guys gave would be great even if they are 19's.....thanks your time and helping me out. Ted

POST 2Original post

Hey Ted! Are you looking for Porsche wheels or aftermarket?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

after market only....i have the 5 star 18's which are very nice for stock wheels....but i am looking to dress her up a bit.....trying to find small details to add....i like it simple.....but love hot wheels.....what do you think about a skirt for the back? i dont like spoilers or wings.....but would like that lowered effect behind the back wheels..... or maybe a new back bumper that has that look incorporated into it....what do you think? thanks

POST 4Original post

If Richard would ever post pics of his new HRE's those are a hot item as well as the BBS RS-GT like on Todd's Targa and Kirb's 996SC. If I was picking up a set of aftermarkets, the BBS RS-GT or LM would be my choice.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ever see a similar car with the OZ racing superlegerra 3 piece?if so how did they look? are original porsche center caps available for the OZ or the BBS ones? thanks Ted

POST 6Original post

BBS or OZ is a good wheel. Very lightweight and strong. I ran the BBS LM on my 996 before I got the IFORGED. Though I think for the price $2900 for a set of nice custom Iforged wheels is definitely good. I say OZ or Iforged. PM me for wheel and tire combos.

POST 7Original post

Techarts are a great option for you, I wanted a stock wheel and thats why i went with the GT3 Wheel (sport design)...

POST 8Original post

BBS RS-GT's...No Porsche center caps for the BBS'

POST 9Original post

Here are the 18" BBS LM replica wheels that were less that $1000 for 4 shipped from hlwcorp.com:

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for the pics....need more to have a better picture before i make my selection.....

POST 11Original post

How about one of these.(my favs) I like the ones posted above, but they all look like a bitch to clean.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

wow....now we are getting somewhere....can i get the model names etc. of the last 3 pics....they all look good...also if you would not mind sharing the prices that would be great as well...thanks in advance....

POST 13Original post

That black tubo cab is OTH. I think I just shorted my keyboard with drool.

POST 14Original post

what is opinion of hyper black/e/w polished lip 10 spokes on black 996. I don'thave them yet, but they are on the way. I have already paid for them so i hope I like them

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

where can i see them...not familiar with them....

POST 16Original post

Ted, What are you going to do with your old wheels? Are they the factory Carerra 5 spokes? What shape are they in?

POST 17Original post

If you like them, the BBS RS-GT wheels in Diamond Black (same as itzkirb's) look super with Seal Gray (I put them on my former Arctic Targa), and the price is better than some wheels such as HRE (although they were in short supply a couple months ago). A great place to window shop is Wheel Enhancement's website, where they have installed pictures for most of their wide selection of wheels (my former Targa is in there as is my 997S). www.wheelenhancement.com [No affiliation, just a happy customer]

POST 18Original post

I will post pictures when I get them on. They are 10 spokes, just powder coated hyper black color then clearcoated The lip is polished.

POST 19Original post

BTW, this will leave me with a set of 18 x 8 ET52 and 18 x 10 Et65 factory polished turbo twists with decent front cont sport contact tires and marginal rearmatching rubber. wheels have only minor scratches or scuffs from 10 to 12k miles, no curb rash. There is even an extra rear wheel. I bumped one in parking garage and bought a replacement. All are factory wheels, not knock offs i will trade for some decent 17s with Boxster offsets, most any type, but prefer Porsche wheels. My boxster wheels are in pretty bad shape. Boxster is a 97 and I have been repeatedly advised not to put 18s on it. They are 996 wheels anyway and would require spacers.

POST 21Original post

HRE 542 is my fav. Simple design and aggressive looking.

POST 22Original post

After months of looking, I put Champion RG5 Monolites on my 997S:

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i like the champions....are they 3 piece with a very deep lip? once i get new wheels i guess i would consider getting rid of my sotck 5 star ones...they are in perfect condition.....my car is always in imacualte condition inside and out.....keeps my sanity.....always have to have projects...let me know if you would be interested in buying them....are the chamions tough to clean? Anyone ever see OZ 3 piece deep dish on a porsche? i saw them on a silver one....not sure about seal greay....and anyone know if porsche center caps fit on the OZ's?? i can see the champions fit the caps.....are they the same colour as the wheel or the center caps different in colour? thanks in advance.....

POST 24Original post

[QUOTE]If Richard would ever post pics of his new HRE's those are a hot item [QUOTE] Believe me Dell, I'd love to post pics...I've even added items to my sig....but remember me? I'm the one who has no love lost for UPS.....I'm still waiting for the 4th wheel....THEN, I'll post pics, I promise.

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Jim are those 19's or 18's and is that a lowered ride?
