I ran wires from the OEM foot well switch to the TT switch.

It will not go down using the switch until I drop to 60 MPH.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just completed my latest MOD. I replaced a dummy switch on the upper console with a TT spoiler switch. I ran wires from the OEM foot well switch to the TT switch. Both switches are operable. Now I can raise or lower the spoiler at will without having to stick my face in the steering wheel to reach the foot well switch.
Special thanks to Itzkirb for posting the DIY instructions and pics on his site. The Spoiler Switch MOD is almost all the way at the bottom.

Thanks, Kirby!
I wanted to give an update on the question listed above:
I have tried to lower my spoiler at 75 MPH. It will not go down using the switch until I drop to 60 MPH. Then the switch will lower the spoiler. FYI
Kilrgt - Yeah, I know! Maybe I'll get the side skirts and then stop there! Ya, RIGHT!
I still say if you want to leave the word "boring in your SIG, it should be something like "
not boring any more!
"
You guy's, STOP it right now, this switch is the last straw...you guy's are killing me, I just spent ~ $7,000 last month on various mods.,... O.K then I am looking at these pictures you guy's posted, and now I am thinking fibeeerrr, carbon fibeeeeerrrr, then someone posts the incredible soundclips of the exhaust mods., and now I have to have that, don't even mention Kilrgt and Kirby post's with their mods., I muster all my will to resist...now I see Kilrgt's avatar, DAMN, NO MORE, I CAN"T DO IT, PLEASE I AM SPENDING MORE ON MISCELANIOUS STUFF THAN MY CAR PAYMENT AND I AM ALREADY IN TROUBLE WITH MY WIFE, YOU GUY'S ARE REALLY SCREWING THINGS UP FOR ME
Jeeva - look at the bright side of the TT switch MOD. It will only cost you 1/10th of what you paid in sales tax alone on the $7,000 you spent last month!
Come on, GO FOR IT! What's another $38 bucks amongst Forum Friends!
$74 on ebay? for $74 I'll buy the part and do the install. what a rip...
Switch at Dealer = $28 (maybe a little bit more)
Other stuff needed...Wires, Clips, etc... = about $10 at Radio Shack.
I will also Thank You Kirby. I did the install just to get rid of one of the "blanks". I did not know this mod exsisted until I saw your site. But get this, the only time I used it was to test it after the install. Still glad I did it and it as been the cheepist mod so far.....
I use it to lower the spoiler so as not to advertise how fast I've been going. I also used it to salute my wife in her car yesterday when she held up her lane to let me cut over.
Lee...
I have the dash switch as well.
At 75 MPH the spoiler deployes automatically. It doesn't retract until the car reaches a downward speed of about 30 MPH. IOW's, it does what the owner's manual says its supposed to do.
Are you saying that by hitting the dash switch you can drop the wing at speeds downward from 75 before you reach appx. 30 mph? And/or are you saying that you can drop the wing at speeds above 75 by hitting the dash switch.

What I love to do at a stop lite when there is a cutie behind me is punch it up and down and watch her reaction.
"Oh my God his 'thing' just went up"...LOL
Yes. You just hold it down for about 10 seconds until the spoiler fully retracts. Works great!
Don't know. Above 75 mph I'm too busy watching for the heat...
I did a Homelink mirror upgrade. Works great for the garage door and has the feature of automatic dimming at night. But it is $200 for the mirror itself.
Big6Dad, I am very interested in this as well... any details like where u got it, DIY install? $200 for the mirror isn't too bad at all. Do u need other parts such as wire harnesses? TIA
