This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Now that that 997 C4S has been announced are dealers discounting 2005 996 C4S ? ThunderC4S

POST 3Original post

In my area Porsche pricing is a seasonal thing. So the asking prices have actually gone up recently. What they are actually getting is another matter.

POST 4Original post

Has anyone contacted dealers to see if they are discounting the 05's now since 06 ordering is now with year end soon???? what are the major new differences on the C4S???

POST 5Original post

After seeing the 997 C4S, I think the 996 C4S would increase in price.

POST 6Original post

But remember as history usually repeats itself as with the 996 to 997 carrera's big drops have occured

POST 7Original post

Hey, Boxsterdoc. You're shopping for a 996 C4S, aren't you? What have you found out? Is your statement above based on what you've found, or is it an inference?

POST 9Original post

Palting: I believe it's wishful thinking on his part. In the NE as I posted earlier, Dealers are asking more for all Porsches now than a few months earlier. Prices won't begin to fall again until the end of summer.

POST 10Original post

That's interesting. Which area of the country do you live in? Is there a big price difference depending on season?

POST 11Original post

In the MD area I've noticed the prices of used Boxsters and 996s increase with the rising temperatures. I wouldn't categorize the price increases as being big but they nevertheless are increases. One example is a new '04 Boxster S that had an advertised price of $47K in April. The asking price for the same car has now been increased to $48K. Another is an '02 996 that had an advertised price of $59K in April. The Dealer is now asking $61K. So again no big increase but an increase. Of course the bottom line is what price the Dealer is willing to sell the car for. Maybe that won't change, but the asking price certainly has risen.
