Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ok, need help. passenger seat will not lock in position(upright) and falls back and forth. Happened when wife lifted the lever to tilt seat forward to put something in back. Has this happened to anyone? Fix? I am about to leave on a trip on wednesday and need to fix this. Help anyone....

POST 2Original post

My lever is funky too. I find that in order for my seat to function properly, I am forced to lift both of the levers (one on either side of the headrest) before I can move the seatback forward. I always assumed it was a safety thing...but now I am beginning to wonder.

POST 4Original post

The seat latch needs to be re-aligned: The pivot point on the bottom outer wall (closest to the fenders) has a torx type bolt. There is a plastic cap that covers it. Remove the plastic cover (it simply snaps on) and get to the bolt. If you loosen the bolt, the mechanism has an adjustment. Simply adjust the slider to allow the latch to work properly, re-tighten and snap the plastic cover back on. Good luck. Chad

POST 5Original post

Chad, you NEVER cease to amaze me! I know that you have recently been through the war with seats, but WHO KNEW this stuff? Is all of this info just floating around in your head, waiting to be summoned? Incredible!!

POST 6Original post

I just good with fixin stuff. Besides, I just re-installed my back seats after I removed them. Chad

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Chad, i will go check it out. What your suggesting will correct the issue? The seat just falls back and forth with gravity, like something broke or disconected

POST 8Original post

It should. I would think the latch is simply not lining up with the latch point. Chad

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

chad, i just went and checked it out saw the cover you mentioned and the bolt. i moved the seat all the way forward and the only place the seat locks in position is all the way reclined.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

FIXED.... i have no idea why, but whatever was loose is back in place. ill have the dealer look at it when it goes in for service this week... thanks for the help Chad....
