Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

27 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

Cool shots there, Mike! Thanks for posting them.

POST 3Original post

you lucky dog Mike.... Le Mans/Speed Channel's TV coverage seems to go out of its way to NOT show ANY Porsche....I've watched for several hours now, and have not seen one. Porsches are in second and third place in the GT2 category, so Porsche's not irrelevant in the race here, but they spent what seems like a whole 5 minutes on the #97 Ferrari in the pit, driven by Melo, that hit a rock (payback for Melo's going out of his way to ram the Porsche out of first place at the end of Sebring this year and claiming it was just "defensive" driving....)

POST 4Original post

Mike, Those are wonderful pictures, thanks for sharing. I'm sure this is a rhetorical statement, but you must be a professional. Really great shots. Nice that you got to shoot the Murcie before Lamborghini's early and complete exit from the race. Jim, I was fortunate to be on the last corner in the Porsche corral stands at the end of the Sebring race. Even though the P-car got the raw end of that deal I sure am glad I was able to see that "pass" in person, not often an endurance race ends like that. I'm sure there are differing opinions on what happened, but ultimately there was no penalty.

POST 5Original post

That Sebring race finish was really exiting - most exciting finish I have ever seen. There is a YouTube video of it - fantastic. I agree, the Speed channel coverage of Le Mans isn't showing enough GT2 for my liking yet. Maybe it will come up, but I was wanting to see the wicked paintjob on that Flying Lizard Porsche Great photo's!

POST 6Original post

So I just woke up and (IMO) "the Sebring payback" is complete: Jaime Melo's Ferrari DNF, and Porsche wins Le Mans.... Dear Jaime Melo and Risi Competizione Ferrari: Ben, you too are a lucky dog for seeing that Sebring's end. I saw the video before, and the Ferrari went for the Porsche's rear fender just as the Porsche pulled ahead of the Ferrari. Doesn't look very defensive to me.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys, guys...! whoa.. I would love to take pictures like those, but those are not mine. Thanks though... they're from a website covering the event. Here's the link http://ultimatecarpage.com/frame.php...tem.php&fid=14 here's more

POST 9Original post

Nice pics! Here's a few from Miller Motorsports Park last month.

POST 10Original post

Thanks for sharing the mostly Porsche pics, Mike. The TV coverage must have shown at least 20 times that drop of the Audi jack in the pit that supposedly caused the rear wheel mount damage and eventual proverbial wheel coming off accident. How about a few seconds of the GT2-winning Porsche RSR driven by American factory driver Patrick Long? The TV coverage made it seem like GT2 class was run in another continent.

POST 13Original post

Great pics Mike!! I was your instructor at VIR a couple of years ago (yellow 964 race car). Now I've added a '99 996 to the stable. Hope you're still getting in your fair share of DE's!

POST 15Original post

Great shots, thanks. In LA, our resident auto guru Dan Neil has been blogging from LeMans - it's a great read, check it out: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sleepless/

POST 16Original post

I went to LeMans, too!! It was awesome! Here's a few pics I took:

POST 17Original post

I have searched far and wide on the Web and the only article I can come up with that covers the GT2 win by Porsche at Le Mans and says more than ONE sentence on it is the following: http://www.planetlemans.com/cmsv2/in...=2844&Itemid=2 The American driver Patrick Long is a superstar: only 26 years old, and 2-time GT2 Le Mans winner!

POST 18Original post

I had to go with a friend and friend's birthday party in St. Augustine, so used DVR. Haven't watched it yet. We need to just go ther in person fellas. Great thread!

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

PAT Drinnen!! Of course I remember you!!! You are "no ****" (pardon my words) the best instructor I've had! I will not forget what you do on the climbing esses were you let go of the steering wheel momentarily to point the nose swiftly to the next apex!!! I also remember that I was either sinking onto the back rest of your passenger seat due to the fwd and lateral Gs or the harness were digging on my shoulders 'cause of how hard you were braking!! We missed you this time! where were you?? ... great to hear from you! Here are some pictures from that event... https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/355137-vir-pictures.html https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-and-drivers-education-forum/353354-official-fsr-de-vir-thread.html

POST 20Original post

Hi Mike! I've been doing all racn and no DE's lately. I went to Mid Ohio for the NASA nationals last year. If you haven't been to that track, you gotta go! That is by far the most technical track I've done! I took 8 seconds off my time 1st day to last day and still thinks there's at least 5 more seconds there. I have a lot more to learn there. I haven't got the 996 to a DE yet, but will have to soon. Hey! Where's Rebecca? I lost touch with them when I changed jobs. So, what all have you done to the 996 to get it screaming??

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great to know that your yellow 964 is going strong! Even though I was only a passenger in it once, that car felt so light and so strong! Whats your fastest time at VIR by the way? My car is still the same as when you last instructed me. No changes at all. It has more capabilities than its driver Rebecca is still in Richmond. She actually coordinated the last Zone II DE at VIR. She has some postings here in the Racing and Driver's Education Forum https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-and-drivers-education-forum-65/ She still around and kickin' *** with her track cars

POST 22Original post

Mike Tell her I said Hi! I lost her e-mail and haven't been able to get in touch with her. I'm [email removed] if you or her want to contact me. Or if anyone here wants to send me $$ to my GT3 fund My fastest time is 2:04 and my car's 279 RWHP, 254 ft./pounds torque @ 2700 pounds (me in it). I tell you, a race car makes TONS of difference on the track. I too would be very careful with that beautiful car of yours on the track...ie you need to buy a race car

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2:04??!!! with your older 911??!!! Thats awesome man! something to inspire for!! I'll bet you'll break 2:00 with your 996 .... just teasing.. I know you're not planning to make that a track car.. dont listen to my temptation

POST 25Original post

VERY nice pics.. Someday, I will own one of those cars.
