I have used Rejex and Ultima PGP, both are great but PGP is just much easier to apply (no buffing) and looks great on dark colors.
Leading evidence: 'Use rejex and ultima pgp, both are great' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean / polished regularly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. Did a video of the Boxster application to demo how easy I found it to use - quite a change from products such as Rejex.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Glad it worked up ok - Guards Red is always a nice shiner with a little work.
Getting ready to give the old 996 a good cleaning. I have REJEX and was planning to use it. Do I use a good cleaner first (zymol pre-wax cleaner) or does the REJEX not need the cleaner first? I do have swirl marks but only have a couple of hours total for this job...any suggestions?
thanks
In my experience, just applying Rejex to a freshly-washed surface provides great results. However, as with everything else in life, the better you prep the surface the more outstanding the result. At the risk of incurring the wrath of the concours guys, if I only had a few hours to devote to the process, I'd wash the beast and then slap on a coat of Rejex. You'll be very happy indeed with how it looks.
Thanks...i had the car clean from yesterday...I did the average wash in the driveway.
I went ahead and did the zymol cleaner first then rejex...very happy with the results (especially for the amount of time needed). It took me about 1 1/2 hours and I did work up a sweat, but all in all much improved.
thanks

Suggestion: You can get same/better results for less effort if you swap from Rejex to Ultima Paint Guard Plus as the sealant.
Here on my GR 986 ('99 80,000 Miles)
Great thing is it's a 10 minute application after your clean and wash cycle, and then no buffing required - you just walk away and leave it to cure, and that's it!

Quick Time Paint Guard Plus Movie
Wash
Clay bar
Paint cleaner
Menzerna Final Polish II or 3M Imperial Glaze (both contain no silicones and therefore Rejex sticks much better)
Rejex
Doing the above will take you around 6 hours on a 911.
I last did this on my Jaguar in August, and the water still beads up nicely, and the car sits outside about 12 hours each weekday.
Do the same on your windshield and you'll be amazed at how well your wipers work.
I've got a polish that's better. We sell it as an aviation polish and it was banned by the America's Cup organization as an "unfair advantage" (it adds hull speed). We're talking with a rennlister about labeling it for automotive use.
I have a big thing of Rejex and tried it a couple of times. My paint surface is in good shape and I keep it clean / polished regularly.
both times using Rejex it was a total pain. It left spots that were darker than others and only serious hand buffing would take them out. Tried several coats to see if that would clear up the unevenness problem. no dice.
guess Rejex is not meant for dark / black cars?
I know a few people who like rejex on black, including Eric over at BumperPlugs (whom I bought my last bottle of rejex from)
It's great on white, but I think you pretty much need a new finish on black. Try the PGP from Ultima, it's not cheap but it really works and save a lot of time, which means you'll do it much more often and always maintain protection. Wipe On, Walk Away
To add to the ideas, next time you apply your Rejex, clay the car first and see how that makes the surface feel. I bet it will be much smoother. Cleaner/Polish is a good first step, but clay really makes a difference.
That's strange. I think I've gone through at least 4 bottles of Rejex, using it on 4 different cars, three of them dark blue metallic. I've never had it leave any spots. I wonder if your paint wasn't fully dry when you used Rejex, and it trapped moisture underneath. I've been very happy with the longevity of Rejex, but I've also prepared the paint correctly and thoroughly (see my post above).
Waxing:
I really get into this and GRIOT'S GARAGE works so well for me. The polish along with the buffer really gets the paint to a smooth as glass level.
The SEALER and WAX used in that order really gets my BLACK looking like it was just poured on the car.
REJEX on the rims only for me...
