Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hummm, the oem silver crest I installed fit just like the one I replaced.

However, it's a bit of a process to get the new gasket on, so a lot of folks (like me) just re-use the existing gasket which is a much easier fit.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have search the internet for this Silver Hood Crest and have seen some vendors selling a kit that include a black gasket that goes under the crest (different than the 2 round rubber gaskets for the 2 pins), but other vendors don't include that... Does the OEM Silver crest includes this gasket? I appreciate any feedback from people who has done this Mod. Thanks...
Yes, it should include the gasket.

I picked up a silver crest but the pins that insert through the hood aren't in the same position as on the original crest, so the replacement will sit lower. Anyone else experience that?
Hummm, the oem silver crest I installed fit just like the one I replaced. It came with a new gasket which was tough to put on. Put the gasket in some hot water to soften it up, this make the install a bit easier.
Thanks Tim & All for your feedback on this Mod, greatly appreciate it... YES, right now I am considering Eric at Bumperplugs because I had bought other stuff from him in the past with no issues (Alu gauge rings, bumper/door plugs, and clear side-markers). On his website, I did see that bottom gasket installed below the Silver Crest itself so that is why I ask here for confirmation... Thanks all again. Cheers,
I bought my Silver Hood Crest from Eric at Bumperplugs, actually drove over there and picked it up from him. I did not get a new gasket. I actually didn't think about it. The old one should be fine.
No the silver is not a oem porsche part......
the silver looks much better on my silver car and the fit is exactly like the oem gold....thanks Eric at Bumperplugs.
