Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I went to have my snow tires put on and the meathead mechanic lifted the car on one side in the wrong place, and bent my ac lines.
The owner agreed to submit the damage to his insurance company without the hassle of me taking him to small claims court. Lets see if he will keep his word once Porsche gives him the estimate!
Got a wheel scratched last week while fitting new tires. Very upset but the tires were free courtesy of Toyo Tires sponsorship so I just kept shut but was
on the inside.
Ciao,
Johannes E.
This one guy cracked the plastic cover under the car by the jack points when I got new tires at NTB. You gottah watch these guys closely, walk them through it because most of them dont know jack about porsches and how **** we are about our cars.
Unfortunately this type of incompetence is not limited to independent mechanics and shops. The dealer cracked my sideskirt and scuffed a rear wheel. They fixed the wheel (it only costs them about $50 to re-finish a wheel) but they didn't tell me about the cracked sideskirt (I guess they were hoping that I wouldn't notice.) Of course the North American dealer for Ruf (just Weissach at the time -- Ruf Autocentre in Dallas wasn't open yet) only sold the skirts as a pair so it took over a month before we got the part from Ruf Germany and another month to fit it in to their bodyshop's schedule. What a pain in the butt! Needless to say I quickly found a good independent mechanic and stopped taking the car to the dealer after that.
About the salt, yea here on the east coast we get snow and unfortunatley with that you get salt that ends up underneath your car. I try to clean the bottom of my car at least once a week. This was not one of those days.
The dealer has a guy come in once a week. He sands, fills, paints and clearcoats the wheel. This is just for scuffs and scratches obviously. If the rim is bent then that's a different story.
i had that happen also..grrr. Thank god the cars are galvanized so i don't have to worry about it rusting up like a ****.
how much did the replacement piece cost you as i still havn't gotten around to fixing mine..
