Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

That was my 1st Porsche lesson because I was not an informed buyer @ age 25, but it was the beginning of a need to own P cars again.

A few compartments hold 2 large garbage cans in the lower section, one has firewood, one has auto detailing, one has garden tools, one is filled with all my take-offs from mods :-), etc.
Leading evidence: 'beginning of a need' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'beginning of a need' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). I met a fellow 996TT owner in your neck of the woods for a test drive.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thanks! Yes, those are wind turbine indeed. I always thought to take my car there to make some cool photos, but I am afraid of being stuck in some kind of mountain road and never return!
I'm waiting for the day when I will wake up with suicide tendencies, hehe
ok, forget what I said about Andy's garage...still awesome, but I think Steven C has the GARAGE...
now if we can find out who's garage is in HWK72 post .....then we have a new winner!!!but until then....STEVEN you are the MAN!!!
here is mine...
when the weather gets naughty, it is time to show off the "tetris" skills...
I can only fit 4 cars so 2 of them get the boot! I need lifts...
Rob: "Planet GT3" is about 25000 miles east of "where mountains meet the Sea"
haha..gotta you!
I will give a clue: latin european country.
The door is large, very large, the problem it's the ramp and the angle of access.
Here are some pics of my garage. This post inspired me to get it cleaned up this weekend. I did a full clay bar and Zaino treatment on the car as well, so everything is sparkling at the moment.
This is the only room in the house my wife lets me have any say in, so I have to put all of my creative energy into one space. My friends think I'm crazy for putting track lighting in the garage.

In response to one of the questiosn above, I believe the garage in Hwk72's post belongs to the owner of 6-speed.com. If you go to the garage forum there, you'll find a huge thread with lots of pics of that garage (currently home to a murci and gallardo). Very nice!
Thanks Doesn't compete with the big dogs but I am proud of it. Next is a floor like Carrera Mike's neighbors...I think. It will have to wait for warmer weather though.
Been a busy summer and I haven't posted much this year, but I figured you guys would appreciate this.
Here's a detailed log of my garage build.

It's a little unusual, I think you'll enjoy the pictures.
Ding! Ding! I think we have a winner!
Seriously, THAT is exactly what I want. I love how you just did away with any grass between you and your neighbor's driveway.
I hope you post final pictures when you're done...
Roger that. It's getting a little slow at the end here, had to get all the wiring dialed in for the home automation, alarm, home theater etc....
Coupla cool things I added in the garage though, wired and planned for a 42 inch plasma above the workbench. Wired for a lift and welder. Hot water, and 2 drains. Also, had the electritian add a bunch of outlets about 1.5 feet down from the ceiling, these are for neon signs etc.. (they are on a seperate switch)
I think it's the little things that will make it cool.
I wish I would have remembered to put in attic trusses in the garage, I would have had a couple hundred feet of 7 foot tall space up there..
Hi, It is a 1995 C4 with Turbo nose and very bling wheels. It had a bunch of cool mods=RSRs, RoW30, Weiner chip yada yada. I wish I kept it so I could lighten the hell out of it, bolt in a cage, and go tracking. I tracked my C4S this year and had more fun in a friend's light and track prepared 1983 911=very raw/old school.
How many cars do you wish you still had????
Steve
That was one of the best looking 993's I've seen. Beautiful - too bad you didn't keep it.
I wish I still had my 67 912 that I had when I was 19-20. Slow, but "raw" and tons of fun. I felt more connected to the road in that car than I have in any other car.
El, the buyer is a Rennlist member from San Diego. You may see it driving around? I went a little over the top with chroming the 18 inch five spoke but they were easy to keep clean! I had a 1968 912 Targa.....wish I still had that one too. The few tracks I drove the 993 on are hilly and very curvy. The all wheel drive and ABD were very fun with track tires! I wish I still had that and my C4S with tiptronic. I hate traffic when I go down to CT and the manual transmission is a pain in the ***. All these people gawk at your car not knowing that your left leg almost needs amputation from lack of blood flow. I do not know how Riad does that NYC commute=I would go insane!
I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that 993 rolling around.
One thing is for sure- driving fast in older, slower cars is every bit as fun, or moreso, than driving newer, faster cars. I can't really push my 996 on public roads responsibly because it's simply too fast once you get close to the 8 or 9/10ths area. In my 912, I could push the car and drive to my abilities without hitting triple digits between (and during) corners. All that matters, in terms of fun, is that you can push your car to the limits and the car responds- letting you know that it likes it and to go faster. My 912 did that for me. I didn't care if a Chevy Astro could accelerate with me
I was still having my fun.
Not mine, but basically exactly like my old one.
Interior shot of a 912. Brings back great memories for me as I'm sure it does for you, too.
El
I bought a red 68 912 in 1975, but then the troubles began. Brakes, electrical, and in need of a valve job for a car that 'looked' perfect, but wasn't. That was my 1st Porsche lesson because I was not an informed buyer @ age 25, but it was the beginning of a need to own P cars again.
Yes, That 912 interior pic is priceless, that nice brushed aluminum, the stuck ashtray, the big steering wheel=no power steering, sliding heat vents that rodents love to ocupy=PRICELESS!
Thanks!
Happy Holidays!
Steve
Thanks for the compliments. Yes, I did the wood work (only) myself - a very enjoyable project. To answer a few of your questions: I built a wall of 7 - 48" wide, floor to ceiling storage units with shelves. A few compartments hold 2 large garbage cans in the lower section, one has firewood, one has auto detailing, one has garden tools, one is filled with all my take-offs from mods :-), etc. This makes for a clean look at all times, as all the junk is behind closed doors. The garage has track lighting, central vacume, heat, air/power/lighting on 50' reels and works out well for small DIY projects and detailing.
The apron is probably available on the RUF website. I was having a problem with my RUF PSS-9 and they sent a factory tech to my home to repair it.
Van,
I met a fellow 996TT owner in your neck of the woods for a test drive. Do you recognize these pictures? The third one is a give away...
I realize that Woodstock, NY is quite a ways from the Woodstock Concert site, but still in the area...
I pass pretty close to there when I go out to Watkins Glen.
Truth be known, I moved to Hyde Park about 2 years ago... but "Woodstock" has a better ring to it...
Utah997 that is an amazing project, nice that you have the room and vision.
My neighbor and I both have 4 cars with only 2-car garage.
I sense a New Year's resolution coming on....
More inspiration is welcome.
A vestige of Delaware's aristocracy. Families hand them down from one generation to another. Often families that have the name 'Dupont' somewhere in the tree. I've heard of them being auctioned off to pay for college tuition. America's first state has some quaint traditions.
