Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Use following' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use following' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I wanted to know if i could have the turbo look or just the 6" oval shape tips (i think it's on GT3's) on my 2001 C4 996.
Currently i have the almost round tip and dont like them.
please post link to oval tips if there is such thing out there.
can i use the following on my car?
tips on Ebay
The tips in the link will not work on your car. If you want Porsche parts there is the BIG oval option:
996 111 981 00 Left
996 111 982 00 Right
I changed to this from the small factory rounds and it made a huge differnce. I can post a pic if you want.
Dell
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, it is Arena Red (I was torn between Arena Red and the Dark Blue--not sure of the technical name). So I let the wife choose (need her approval so I don't feel guilty)....Needless to say me AND my wife like the color
The tips don't really affect the sound. But that can be fixed with PSE. I just added a couple months ago and don't listen to the radio anymore! Had no idea what I was missing till I got it installed.
I have PSE coming in tommorrow! Can't wait to get it installed. I think I will need to get the larger tips. They fill out the valence openings properly and just seem to be more correct.
Yes, Arena is really beautiful.
We had a drive yesterday and I had the only 996 without a sport exhaust. One C2 with PSE, C4S with PSE, and Turbo with Europipe. That was one great sounding trio!
Next drive, it'll be four or more!
any tips for installing them. i got them off okay. they are a bear to get back on. almost like the pipe swelled when i wasn't looking. i had the tips powercoated so i can't beat on them with a rubber hammer...
I can't comment on the install since I had the dealer put on the PSE and they did the tips for me. I know Loren (renntech) mentioned in a post that a clamp spreader (?) or something like that would work. Maybe try his forum??? Sorry I couldn't be much help.
By the way, love the new rims! I saw them on the other thread you started. Way cool!!!!!!
