Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I think instead I will take another offer to drive a T1 vette, which has been turning great lap times at the same track just using 4th and 5th gear.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

in favor of a TMY (ticket me yellow) C4S. My original plan was to pick up the Lotus and keep my aging E36 M3 as a daily driver. For a variety of reasons, I decided not to do it, and instead simply take both cars out of the equation and go with the C4S. It will do double duty as a daily driver (I have a short commute) and as a toy for track weekends. I'm curious, anyone else still on board with the Lotus, or bail from their spots?

POST 4Original post

I got an offer to drive an Elise in a 12 hour race next year, as an SCCA T1 car, and to be honest I might turn it down. The Elise looks like it might be good for sprint races or track day, but it seems pretty unsubstantial for endurance. I think instead I will take another offer to drive a T1 vette, which has been turning great lap times at the same track just using 4th and 5th gear. It's a lot easier to drive 12 hours with big torque rather than with complete finesse. Steve 99 996 76 930 64 356C

POST 5Original post

I'm looking to get into an Elise later this year. Thought I'd trade in the C4S for a GT3, but decided to keep the C4S and get the Elise as well. Both cars for the same cost as a GT3. No brainer for me

POST 6Original post

Last week while at the Portland CART race, I spotted one on display. The first time I have seen one in the flesh. I must say it looks really nice! Maybe a fun track car, autox etc.

POST 8Original post

Woohoo!!! Did I say later this year? I think I may have meant later this month!

POST 9Original post

I believe there are some early delivery spots for sale on eBay.. Also some for sale in the back of Autoweek...

POST 10Original post

Haven't tried a new Elise yet but just got back from a track afternoon with my Elise 190R. As a track car it's more enjoyable than my 02ttX50. You can try real hard to make a C4S into a track car, but you're there a lot easier with the Elise. As an aside, I think that rwd is generally more enjoyable at the track. It's easier to rotate and its nice not fighting understeer. Of course, oversteer is an Elise halmark. AS
