the pca-ggr lap record for production class 996 (Op) for laguna is 1:45.185 the nasa lap record for c class (996) for sears pt is 1:56.64

I turned a 1:42.9 in a 3.4L 996 at 2925 lbs with reasonably modified suspension and a stock engine my first time at the track. A similarly prepped 3.6L at 3050 lbs turned a 1:39.44 (yes, I'm not embarrassed at all to say that Darren Law is faster than me). Both cars were on the Grand-Am CUP spec Hoosiers (245/275's on 17's) which are marginally slower than the standard Hoosiers most club racers run.
