Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After a very very spirited drive yesterday I drove into work this morning and the brake pad warning light came on? This was strange since I had new discs, pads and fluid a month ago. Then when I went for a drive at lunch it wasnt on Can anyone explain this or has anyone experienced this

POST 2Original post

I have seen reports about this from Boxster and 996 owners. The light goes on for no reason, then later goes off. No clue.

POST 3Original post

Nick, I had this problem. Turned out to be a brake sensor but the good news is it wasn't faulty. I just unpluged them one at a time, cleaned the connectors with switch cleaner and then replaced them. Never had the problem since......I don't even know which sensor was the cause
