You will love it! Just make sure you slow down as you are approaching tunnels so you accelerate faster once you are in them - this has become a daily habit for me.
they said that they won't recommend Midas working on this kind of stuff. I probably have dealer do it , he said something around 300.00 to 400.00 for install. at least i got it cheaper at brandywine.com porsche.
That's way too much for installing just the mufflers. It should be maybe 1.5 hours or less of labor. I paid $250 at my dealer, which was probably too high too.
I had Midas do mine for $75.00. Of course the dealer is going to tell you not to take it there. I watched the Midas tech do the install. With the right tools, which they have, it is a no-brainer. There are a number of individuals that have done it themselves, but to me it was well worth it to have someone else do this work. You don't need to spend $400 at the dealer.
I didn't want to pay the dealer rates, nor trust my car to Midas, so I had a local independent Porsche shop install it. Just over an hours labor--around $100.
This is by far the best option on my car. I live in a quiet area though so the factory install with the button to turn it down is a bonus (also helps going past LEOs).

Anyone who calls himself a mechanic of any sort can do it. I paid $40 to have mine installed at the local shop where I live in the boondocks. He had no problem at all.
I paid the dealer $70.00 to install PSE without electronics. Definitely the best mod I have done. I have had it two months now. The car use to sit more but now I can't stop driving it. Mine is a 2002 C4S. I have a buddy with an '03 TT with the Tubi exhaust from Champion Motorsport drive my car last week. His car is obviously faster and sounds great, but after driving mine, he said he would do anything to be able to get the same normally aspirated sound with the PSE in his TT. He agreed the sound was just mean! BTW I installed a set of Michelin PS2's last month. Awesome!!! They blow away the factory Pirelli's in every respect. I can highly recommend them and very quite. Feels like a new car.
