Nice guys that buy and sell new and used Porsche wheels (and tires).

If you got 65mm wheels and needed 47mm, you could just run a spacer like the common 15mm that people use around these forums.

anyhow, my main point is simply that my winter wheel set (the official porsche solution) positions the 10" winter rears with the same centering as for the 11" summer rears (i.e.

i think the wheel design is called the "Turbo II" wheel, i forget exactly...it's the identical wheel to what my car has on for summer use, except the rears are 1" narrow for snow tire use.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm looking for a winter setup for a 2002 C4S.
Either just the wheels or wheels & snows.
Needed wheel size:
8J x 18" 50mm (fronts)
10J x 18" 47 mm (rears)
I have had good experience with Wheel Enhancement

No affiliation, just a satisfied customer
I have a set of 18" hollow spokes I could give you ata killer deal just to get them out of my garage - they have color crested center caps and have no dent buff or scratch on them.
Just make me any offer........
i have an '02 C4S (which i am keeping). i live in the denver area (moved here last october). am moving back to so cal next month. been thinking about selling my winter wheel/tire set.
i bought the set new from Wheel Enhancements last fall for $3074.
i virtually never drove the C4S over the winter so these winter wheels/tires are in totally mint condition.
you probably know that the winter C4S rears must be 10" wide (not 11" like summer-stock C4S wheels) in order to fit available snow tires and meet porsche's official winter requirement for this particular vehicle (i.e. these have the officially recommended porsche offset).
mine have Dunlop Winter Sport rubber mounted, virtually zero wear, not even 1 yr old yet.
i think the wheel design is called the "Turbo II" wheel, i forget exactly...it's the identical wheel to what my car has on for summer use, except the rears are 1" narrow for snow tire use.
i can email you pics if you like.

Wow, are you sure about that? 65mm is the offset for a narrow body. I would think it would look pretty strange to have that offset on your wide body. The manual lists the offset for a widebody snows as 10x18 47mm offset.
For low cost snows that look good, check out hlwcorp.com. I have the BBS LM style for my year round and I'm very happy.
so if you really need 65mm rear offset then i'm not the guy i guess.
but, again, what i have (47mm rear offset), is the official porsche rear winter wheel specification for an '02 C4S.
other offsets (for 10" rears) *may* work ok, i really don't know.
bear in mind that, for winter use, if you move your rears too far outboard you may destroy your outer fender lips with flinging gravel / snow / mud / etc. i believe this is why porsche specifies 47mm offset for the 10" C4S winter rears. and that it also maintains the factory suspension geometry by keeping the 10" rear tire/wheel combo centering the same as with the summer 11" rears.
Kirk, 65mm means the wheel is in by 18mm more than the 47mm...Not the other way around.
If you got 65mm wheels and needed 47mm, you could just run a spacer like the common 15mm that people use around these forums.
yeah, i never keep it straight which way moves the wheel inboard / outboard
anyhow, my main point is simply that my winter wheel set (the official porsche solution) positions the 10" winter rears with the same centering as for the 11" summer rears (i.e. my winter rears sit 1/2" inboard, sort of, with of course another 1/2 " on the inside side of the wheel...it's like if you were to imagine sticking my 10" rears perfectly centered inside of my 11" rears).
or at least this was what i thought i learned last fall back when i was researching winter wheel / tire combos for an '02 C4S.
whatever the case, i can say that in my limited use of this wheel / tire combo in real world snow situations, the car does drive amazing well in snow. got caught in a blizzard in Breckenridge once, zero drama.
Thanks for correcting my error on offset of 47mm not 65 mm as I had posted.
The damn owners manual applies to the C2, C4 and C4S; I must have foolishly pulled down the wrong offset for the C4S.
