Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

If you're putting in a GT3 bar, you will need the shorter end links, and I would recommend Loctiting (if that's a word) the bolt bushings.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have heard that the front is much harder than the rear? What is necessary to get it off?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know, come on guys somone has to have done this already. I might start tonight.

POST 3Original post

It's much harder than the rear but only because the rear one practically falls off. For the front, take of the plastic cover (5 clips and 4 plastic nuts I believe). Inside there are 2 boomerang shaped pieces. Remove the bolts except for the middle (only loosen) one so they will pivot. Undo 2 bolts each for the bushings, and it comes right out following just the right path. Of course, jack the car up, remove wheels, disconnect end links, and do other obvious things like turn the engine off Reverse to install. If you're putting in a GT3 bar, you will need the shorter end links, and I would recommend Loctiting (if that's a word) the bolt bushings. You can look up the bolt torques or go by feel if you know bolts/fasteners well enough. P.S. Mine's a Boxster, but the front is identical.
