Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have any of you had your car sprayed by Rust Check? I used to do it on all my cars with excellent results. Now that I'm moving back, I guess I should spray my "never seen a snow-flake or salted road" Carrera. What's the consensus?

POST 2Original post

I drive mine all winter and I do not get the car rust checked, but hey it can't hurt.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If you really drive it all winter, I would highly recommend it. It only takes an hour. Your car will drip for a day or two, but your car's body (or undercarriage, or suspension, etc) will never rust if you get the application done every year. I'll be doing it first thing when I get back.

POST 4Original post

When are you coming back ? Where are you moving to We need all the P-car guys we can get!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I may be back as soon as February. I'll be staying with my folks for a while (North York). I may only be back for a few months (trying to get some businesses off the ground) and then may return to California, but anything can happen. I don't plan to drive my car in the snow, as I can't afford a set of winter wheels/tires right now, but I will drive it whenever the roads are clear, albeit slowly with my frozen summer tires....

POST 6Original post

What are your Businesses? Maybe some T.O guys can help out

POST 7Original post

I just got my P-car and do not drive too much in the snow, but do drive it occasionally. I did not even think about Rust Check, aren't our cars galvanized steel so they should not rust anyways? Kilrgt - where are you located, I am in the Don Mills and Eglinton area. I am new to this forum (2 months) and this is my first p-car. I have been meaning to take pics, but just cannot find a nice day.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm a software developer, and I am building some web sites as well as helping a sofware company out with some of their work. The sites I'm building won't make me any money until I finish them and I figure it will take me about a year to complete them all. Once that is done, I'll be trying to drum up some new business. My specialty is developing line of business applications that leverage the web - specifically using Microsoft tools and technologies. Thanks for reaching out and offering to help! I'm looking forward to coming home.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All cars are built with better treated metals than they used to be, but all it takes is a tiny weak spot for rust to do its magic. In my experience, Rust Check is a small price to pay for peace of mind. Especially if you plan to keep your car for a long time.

POST 10Original post

Whereabouts in north york...that's pretty much my neck of the woods. (that and mississuga)..i smell a P-car gathering this summer..with more than 4 cars attending

POST 12Original post

POST 13Original post

I am in too...Not sure if Ill have a p-car, but i will have something nice...I am in the Mississauga Brampton Border area and who says we need to wait for summer or the spring for that matter, I am always up to a meet!

POST 14Original post

i'll be in sauga 2morro at the corner of erin mills and millcreek..there's a little pub type thing next 2 the office i'll be at if u wanna go grab some lunch. p.s. ..i'e abandoned my ice racing plans for this year...the unfortunate rescent demise of my beloved mazda6 and some extra expenses for my upcomming parts store have eaten away at that fund and the time it takes 2 do it. time 2 start planning for winter2006

POST 15Original post

I've never rust proofed any of my cars. In my mind rust proofing was something that we needed before the car companies got serious about rust. I may be wrong but my .02 cents. I'm deffinately up for a P Car meet in the new year. Cheers, Stan

POST 16Original post

Driving on summer tires in these temperatures, even on dry roads can be suddenly very exciting.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I can only imagine! If I ever do venture out in my car and the temperature is anywhere near freezing, I'm sure I'll be crawling along at very, very slow pace.
