Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, the day is finally here she is going in for 60k service 01/02/13. I just dropped off all the parts to and the car at my Indy and will be dropping of my 2004 AE on Wednesday. Going all in and doing 60k service, AOS, water pump, all fluids, new clutch, installing the x74 suspension and new set of Hankook v12 rubber all around I wanted to wish all of you a happy New Year and and thank you guys for all the help camaraderie on the 996 forum these last 3 years. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!

POST 2Original post

Nice New Years celebration! New clutch, do you have the stock 996 shifter? I was thinking of upgrading to the 997 shifter when I replace the clutch. From what I have read it seems to be a much better feel and is an easy bolt on replacement.

POST 3Original post

Miami...interested to hear your feed back on the X74.....I think I know......congrats!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the 2010 GT3 shifter with the metal bushings. It's a shorter throw than the stock one but not as short of a throw as the Porsche SS or B&M SS but the action and feel is silky smooth.

POST 5Original post

Miami - thanks for the shifter feedback - good info.

POST 6Original post

About the X74........don't get an alignment right away. Wait a week. The springs will settle a little before your car gets its final ride height.

POST 7Original post

Happy New Year! Sounds like you'll have the new parts to play around soon in 2013!

POST 8Original post

what indus shop are you going to ? why are you doing the clutch ? just preventive or you are showing sign of wear ?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for tip on waiting a week to align that is a good one. Clutch is slipping on hard 1 - 2 or even 2 - 3 shifts so it is about time figured might as well. As for local Indy I use William at J&W Motorsports in Doral.
