Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Guys, just wanted to post a heads in the 996 section as not everbody looks frequently at the classifieds. https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=21307

What are the advantages of a 3 spoke vs 4 spoke?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well a three spoke is generally sportier in both look and feel. It's a bit fatter than the four spoke and has a slightly smaller diameter as well. The aluminum is purely for looks. It really ads a nice touch to the interior. Whoever buys this will likely have been thinking about one for a long time. I don't think they are often available used.

Gotta say, that crack would be a deal-stopper for me. Will be interesting to see if it sells for that high number with such a visible flaw. Personally, I would stare at it so much I'd probably wreck the car.

Ha, from a guy with fried egg headlights.

Fried eggs with no cracks or fading

POST 8Original post

I have the aluminum-look steering wheel in my car and I love it. It looks great. Interestingly, I had mine replaced under warranty for a crack. I don't know how common that is. There's a guy in my local club who has a 10 year old 996 with the aluminum-look wheel, and it looks perfect. The price for this wheel is pretty high, but it does include the leather covered airbag, which is also quite expensive.
