Last year I bought the Sport Ribs at Wheel Works (I recommend the on on El Camino in Sunnyvale right at the Mtn View border if you're in this area).

I am getting close to needing some new rear tires. I currently have the Michelin Pilot Sport Ribs on the front and rear and don't need new fronts. I have the 285/30/18's (I want to stay with this same size) and have been told by Tirerack that all of these tires are going to the Porsche dealers and they can't get any. These were around $300's from Tirerack when they had them in stock, any idea what I will pay from a dealer? Also, does anyone know where else I might be able to find these close to the Tirerack price in the SF Bay Area or online? I know this has been an issue for a while, but I saw them on the Tirerack site on and off over the last several months. Anyone know if this is a temporary shortage and when there may be inventory outside the dealers again? Thanks, Kris

Wheelenhancement.com should have them in stock; their prices are usually around the same as tire rack. (No affiliation.) UPS shipping probably isn't much.

I actually called wheel enhancement last week to ask about the PS Ribs. They gave me the same story about Ribs being available through Porshce dealers only. If you get a different story, please let me know.

What surprised me most is that they ordered the tires from the wholesale arm of TireRack, matching the Tire Rack retail price, with next day delivery / install.

I believe only the 285/30/18 Ribs may be in short supply. I recently bought 265/35/18 N1's from Discount Tire, who matched Tire Rack pricing.
